Introducing our Monthly Local Farm Feature!🌱 O Introducing our Monthly Local Farm Feature!🌱

Once a month we will be spotlighting a local farm or business that we work with to bring you the best and freshest tastes of the central coast! 

To kick things off, we are featuring our dear friend Helen at @lilswissfarms , based out of Waldport along the beautiful banks of the Alsea River.

Helen started up Lil Swiss Farms four years ago, and quickly became a staple for an array of fine restaurants on the coast, from Lincoln City to Florence and everywhere in between. 
Her first main grow area was up in the greenhouses at @tinytranquilitypark which still is happily blooming today, just up the road from her temperature controlled (with a variety of music available for the young plants) micro green grow space.

There's no denying you can truly taste the love and deep care in her vibrant micro greens and edible florals, including micro sunflower, radish, broccoli, popcorn shoots, pea tendrils, nasturtium, snapdragons, buckwheat, and so much more!

The pandemic hit Lil Swiss Farms hard, as restaurants in the county closed down suddenly, and all at once. Helen adapted quickly and pivoted her business to home delivered fresh micro greens and edible flowers.

It was through individual family orders over the last year, and her tenacious passion and dedication, that she was able to keep her micro farm growing and going- a true symbiotic relationship at work between her, the greens, and the coastal communities. 🌱
